What is the difference between Medical Massage and regular massage therapy?

Medical Massage
Medical massage is a therapeutic, results-driven treatment tailored to a client’s specific pain, injury, or dysfunction. It focuses on reducing pain, improving mobility, and addressing the root cause of issues based on clinical assessment and goals.

Regular Massage Therapy
Regular massage (like Swedish or relaxation massage) is aimed at comfort, relaxation, stress relief, and general well-being, without necessarily targeting underlying structural or pain problems.

What is Postural Restoration Therapy?

Postural Restoration Therapy focuses on correcting imbalances in the body caused by poor posture, muscle overuse, and daily habits. It works by retraining your breathing, alignment, and movement patterns so your body can move more efficiently and without pain. It’s corrective approach that helps restore balance, improve mobility, and relieve chronic tension.

What is therapeutic exercise?

Therapeutic exercise is a type of therapy that involves specific exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, and function.

Is this covered by insurance?

This is the number 1 question we receive often. The truth is we work for our patients, not insurance companies. We are not seeing you and then handing you off to someone else. We take pride in our 1 on 1 therapy. We at Anatomy Mechanics Therapy look at the body as a whole. Example, if a patient comes in with a shoulder injury and the therapist determines this is caused from ribcage positioning, the insurance will not cover that until you make another doctors appointment and the doctor agrees with the therapist. Meanwhile the patient is in pain and getting no relief. We do NOT want that for our patients. We find the root causes of pain!

How much does this cost?

We have many different price points for many different budgets. We do our best to work with our patients so they can start to get better sooner.
